Use the QR card supplied with your ring to identify the correct app. For compatible devices, the iTasbeeh Salam App supports pairing, dhikr tasks, vibration preferences and prayer reminders. Bluetooth is used to synchronize supported settings and records. [3]
Choose only the features you plan to use. Check that any records you want to keep appear correctly after synchronization, and save your model’s instructions somewhere easy to find.
04Test your complete charging setup
Charge the ring before leaving, then test the accessory and cable you will actually pack. Keep them together in a small pouch rather than assuming a spare charger at your destination will be compatible.
The SQ666 includes a portable charging case. The SQ976 package lists a wireless charging cable; do not assume the two models share charging accessories. [4]
Plan a convenient time to check the battery during the trip. A normal evening pause at your accommodation is a better time to think about charging than the moment you are leaving with your group.

One pouch. One familiar routine.
Give your ring and charging accessories a regular place to rest. Check the battery before a long day, and return everything to the same pouch after use.
After Arrival: Check the Prayer Schedule Again
The companion app displays daily prayer times and offers advance reminders for compatible rings. Treat arrival as a prompt to review those settings, not as proof that a disconnected ring has already updated itself. [3]
Check the selected location, local date and time, and the timetable you follow. Save and synchronize the supported settings. Repeat this check when your location changes, including a move between Makkah and Madinah.
Compare prayer start times with prayer start times—not with a separately listed congregational time. Where an advance alert is enabled, remember that it is a preparation cue, not confirmation that the prayer time has begun.
Keep your group’s arrangements and local guidance in view. A personal vibration should support your plan, not replace it.
Dhikr Counting Is Not Automatic Tawaf or Sa’i Tracking
A tap total only tells you how many inputs were registered. Do not assume it identifies a completed Tawaf circuit or a Sa’i journey. The basic counting mechanism is manual, not an automatic record of where you have walked. [1]
Do not mix an optional manual circuit count with a dhikr session and then treat the combined total as a reliable record. For uncertainty about a ritual, follow your pilgrimage guide or trusted scholar rather than asking the ring display to resolve it.
Keep the tool’s job small: count the inputs you intentionally give it.
Wudu and Everyday Care During the Journey
Water resistance varies by model. MyZikrRing’s FAQ specifically distinguishes water resistance from suitability for swimming, diving or prolonged underwater use. Follow the instructions for your exact ring rather than applying another model’s rating to it. [1]
As a conservative care routine, dry the ring and your finger after permitted water contact, and keep the charging accessory dry. Avoid treating a water-resistance claim as permission for hot showers, soap or cleaning chemicals; follow the supplied care instructions. General wearable-care guidance also distinguishes these exposures from ordinary water contact. [5]
When you take the ring off, place it straight into its pouch or another secure, dry place—not on a washbasin edge. For questions about wearing a particular ring or material during ihram, seek guidance from a trusted scholar before travelling.
A Small Packing Checklist for Your Ring
This is a device checklist to add to your own travel preparations, not a complete Hajj or Umrah packing list.
| Pack or prepare | What to check |
|---|---|
| Your ring | A comfortable fit and familiar counting controls. |
| Its charging accessory and cable | The correct combination for your model, tested before departure. |
| A suitable power adapter | Compatibility with the supplied charger instructions and your accommodation’s power supply. |
| A protective pouch and soft cloth | A consistent, dry storage place whenever the ring comes off. |
| Instructions and support details | Your model name, setup guide and order reference saved for easy access. |
Keep travel arrangements separate from device setup. For official pilgrimage information, consult Nusuk Hajj or Nusuk Umrah, as appropriate, alongside the guidance from your authorized provider. Both platforms operate under the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah; check the requirements relevant to your journey. [6]
Choose the Fit and Charging Style You Prefer
There is no reason to choose by the longest feature list. Start with what you want to wear and how you want to care for it.

Stainless steel · Fixed sizes
SQ666 Salam Ring
A stainless steel model with an LED display, five-prayer vibration reminders, fixed US sizes 8–13 and a portable charging case. Consider it when you prefer a fixed-size ring and the convenience of its matching case. [4]

Resin · Interchangeable sizing rings
SQ976 Resin Zikr Ring
A resin model with a built-in display, prayer reminders, wireless charging and five interchangeable sizing rings. Consider it when you prefer the included sizing options. Check the fit range before ordering; several sizing rings do not guarantee a fit for every finger. [4]

MyZikrRing’s FAQ lists a 1-year warranty for manufacturing defects and product quality issues; contact support about eligibility and the process for a particular issue. [1]
Bring a Simple Routine Home With You
Before returning home, choose one moment you would like to keep: a pause after prayer, a quiet start to the morning or a few minutes away from messages.
Let the ring serve that moment. You do not need to recreate every part of your travel schedule or compare totals from one day to the next. Keep what felt useful and make room for it in ordinary life.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need mobile data for basic dhikr counting?
No. Basic counting happens on the ring without a continuous phone connection. App downloads, online services and synchronization are separate from registering a count. [1]
Will the ring automatically count my Tawaf circuits?
Do not assume so. A manual counter registers your taps; it does not establish which ritual action you completed. Keep any manual circuit counting separate from a dhikr session.
Will prayer reminders update automatically when I arrive?
Check rather than assume. Review the app’s location, local time and timetable, then synchronize the settings supported by your ring before relying on the alerts.
Can I leave the charger at home for a short trip?
Bring it. Actual battery life varies with usage and settings. A tested charging setup is more useful than planning around the longest advertised runtime. [1]
Is a Zikr ring a suitable gift before Hajj or Umrah?
It can be thoughtful when the recipient wants a digital counter. Check their preferred fit, allow time for setup and let them decide which features they want to use.
Do I need to buy a different ring just for the journey?
Not necessarily. Start with the ring you already understand. Review its fit, battery, supported features and care instructions before deciding whether another model would solve a real need.
